Sacred Symbols of Judaism
Star of David
Magen David: This symbol, more commonly known as the Star of David, is said to represent the shape or symbol of David’s shield. This is a new symbol in the Judaism belief as there are no records of it in any rabbinic literature. However, it is now internationally known as the symbol of Judaism and is printed on the flag of the state of Israel.
The Menorah
The menorah: The menorah is a candelabrum with nine branches and is one of the oldest symbols in Judaism history. The menorah is known as the symbol of the nation of Israel. It is said that it is a symbol of their mission to be “a light unto the darkness.” – Isaiah 42:6.
